Installing Windows XP from PenDrive

Follow These steps for installing XP from USB :

1. Download "solution.rar" (If link doesn't work Click Here ) file.
   
   
2. Unpack "Solution.rar" to Ur system.
   
   
3. Insert ur pen drive atleast 1GB
   
   
4. Go to the extracted “Solution.rar” folder and run “HpUSBformat.exe” File,
   
   • It should detect ur pendrv if not then select it from the list.
   Set other options like
   FileSystem=FAT32
   Volume Lable =”Any thing”
   Quick Format = Unmarked
   Create DOS startup disk = Marked
   Write .(DOT) in the next field(or Give path to current folder).
   
   
5. Copy All files from extracted folder to u pendrive(U can replace existing files.

6. Copy all files from winXP disc to ur pendrive.
   
   
7. Restart ur system(With PenDrive attached to it) , Goto BIOS and change default boot device to USB.

8. Now U must b getting DOS prompt, type “sys d:” (Without quotes) and hit enter -If u see system transferred goto step : 14

   -If any problem appears goto next step

9. Be Carefull, you may loose all data from drive C:/ or from whole H/Disk also.

10. type “d:” and press enter then type “DIR” it must show all the files on C:\ of ur system, if not try it for other drives.
    
    
11. Type “copy c:\*.* ” press enter.
    
    
12. Type “Fdisk” and press enter
    

    Create new partition (Warning: Be careful while using Fdisk as it may erase all the data from h/disk”)

13. type “pqmagic” and make new partition active
    
    
14. type “nc” (Norton Commander) and hit enter, Now using this application copy all folders(Only Folders B’Coz u already have copied files in step11) from ur pendrive to ur current drive
    

    For copying select any folder

    Press F5(For more Shortcuts click here)

    Enter ur current working drive as a destination

    Press Enter.

    
    
15. .Restart system without pendrive in it(It should start from H/Disk).
    
    
16. Type “cd i386” and hit enter ( it will enter i386 folder)
    
    
17. Type “winnt” and press enter

18. The installation will begin now, but remember during installation keep existing file system, Do not format it.
